Still here! Is it Tuesday yet?

Despite a pandemic and about four years of neglecting the https://charnwoodrpg.club website, we are still here (and I have even kept up the domain name subscription).

We long ago moved venue, but are still meeting in Quorn. However we now meet on Tuesday nights as of this week.

I’m interested to see if all of the stuff I set up years ago still works when I post this, and whether it will land up duplicated in our Facebook page https://facebook.com/charnwoodrpgc

Neglected Blog!

This blog at charnwoodrpgc.wordpress.com (also charnwoodrpgc.club) has been neglected but I’m going to make use of it for stories from our games again. The blog entries get published at our Facebook page facebook.com/charnwoodrpgc. Please, if your playing in any of our games, get in touch if you want to add to the blog (or get me to do so on your behalf).

Events continue to be published to the Facebook page, even though I have neglected the blog!

January jollity!

Four games this week! One of our freshly blooded DMs has the bug, so Lucas has taken on running another game. Space station-based sci-fi will materialise in Dean’s imagination. Steampunk fantasy sci-fi will be the order of the day with Ben in the Iron Kingdoms. I might run Red Box D&D with Into the Unknown, or the 5e D&D port of the same adventure. Or I could go full Gygax with the Tomb of Horrors. My character died last week – it may be time for me to run the most deadly dungeon of them all to get over the loss…

Members Library

TSR’s Keep on the Borderlands was the first adventure module I bought for Basic D&D in 1986 (ish) to play with my friends. It’s now the latest module I’ve bought too! Goodman Games’ third printing of one of their most successful titles is Into the Borderlands. Thanks to Chimera in Beeston!

At the club we have dozens of rulebooks and adventures spanning 30+ years of gaming. Dean and I have discussed whether 2019 could include us listing these titles on the club website so that local players and groups can see what we have!
